ABOUT MISTY

Misty discovered yoga in 2008 during a challenging period in her life, and what began as a search for relief became a profound healing journey. After experiencing yoga's transformative power firsthand, she completed her first 200-hour certification in 2012 and has been teaching for over 12 years.

Background & Training

Misty brings a unique university educational foundation in business and education, and her yoga training includes certifications in Hatha, Radiant Body Yoga with Kia Miller, Joint Health, ParaYoga with Rod Stryker, Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark, and specialized training in stretching and movement science. She is currently completing advanced certifications in Ayurveda Health Coaching and Kundalini Yoga.

Misty has taught across Colorado, Texas, and internationally in Italy, working with diverse communities including military families, educators, and individuals seeking relief from physical and emotional challenges.

Teaching Approach

What sets Misty apart is her integration of practical healing with spiritual wisdom. Raised in a Christ-centered tradition, she creates inclusive spaces where students from all backgrounds can explore yoga's healing potential by drawing connections between universal love teachings found in Christianity, yoga, and Buddhist philosophy.

Her classes weave together Hatha, Kundalini, and Vinyasa styles with kriya, breathwork, mantra, and meditation, addressing the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. Misty's approach honors both the body's need for healing and the soul's longing for deeper connection.

Her Mission

Misty views yoga as medicine for our times – a gentle practice that teaches people to come home to themselves when life feels overwhelming. Her goal is to share tools that help others live more fully as themselves and find peace in the beautiful complexity of being human, whether they're dealing with physical discomfort, emotional stress, or simply curious about yoga's deeper offerings.
